"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead

Our Mission is to support grassroots community-based initiatives that expand access to education.

Goals
  • One: Let communities determine their own goals, and then support their project advancement.
  • Two: Connect with people directly to engage focused change based on community-driven goals.
  • Three: Keep a 100% all volunteer-run organization so that admin costs are as minimal as possible.
  • Four: Support expansion of access to education, particularly for women.

About
We are a 100% all volunteer organization. We are a small group of motivated internationals from the USA, Canada, France, Australia, Poland, Kenya, and other countries. We have come together to run events, good-works programs, and adventures in the effort to raise money for different non-profit grassroots educational and sustainable development projects. We have been running fundraising and adventure events since 2007. We make ventures happen!

How We Operate
We are a 100% all volunteer organization, work form home offices that we personally fund, we pay for our own travel, and we cover our admin costs. We also work directly with community organizations, so that middle-costs are removed. This means that A4A has zero over-head so that funds raised go straight to the charities we support.

Rather than working in any one country or location permanently, we choose different grass-roots projects where we have connections with the local community and thus personal assurances about the endeavor. Legitimacy is key, as we want to make sure our efforts, time, and donations go directly to real projects that help real people.

We do not tell communities what their goals should be. They decide what their goals and initiatives are, based on what is important to them, and we then support the advancement of their chosen projects.

Our goal has been and remains to be an intrinsically motivated desire to support advancement of educational opportunities for all, particularly women, one step at a time. Even small projects can lead to positive changes.
