Adventures4Action’s mandate is unchanged. We are on course to support educational projects for the citizens of Impiron; Impiron is a Maasai village located near the Amboselie Junction, between Loitokitok and Kimana, all in the shawdow of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Our trip to Kenya this last summer helped strengthen our project plans and schedule.
While in Kenya we further researched local projects and educational needs, in discussons with commumity leaders in Impiron. Everyone involved agrees that we want a lasting solutions rather than simply a quick fix.
It is always difficult to prioritize when faced with so many worthy goals. Our mandate first and foremost is to provide access to education. Currently young girls must miss school in order to travel long distances to fetch potable water; water that is often contaminated leading to outbreaks of giardia and cholera.
Supporting girls to go to school will allow more girls to attend school where there is water, and then can take home clean water to their families at the end of the school day.
Adventures4Action's latest visit to Kenya has deepened our resolve to fundraise and see our goals for the village brought to fruition. Stay tuned for more news!
